About this course
فارسی محاورهSpoken Persian is very different from the Persian you see written down. People say mikhām where a book says mikhāham, and chetori? where a letter would say hāl-e shomā chetor ast?. This course teaches the spoken language first, in the Tehrani accent heard across Iranian TV, film and the diaspora, and shows you the written form alongside so nothing comes as a shock later. Lessons are cumulative: complete beginners should start at Lesson 1; returning learners can read the unit descriptions and start wherever they feel comfortable.
Every lesson includes: a chaptered audio lesson to stream or download, a printable lesson guide with Persian script, transliteration and English, an audio word list, interactive exercises and a "mark complete" button that tracks your progress.
